Trooper Leon Bench Blue Run

The Trooper Leon Bench Foundation is planning the first ever Trooper Leon Bench Blue Run. The event will consist of a 5K run/walk and a one-mile fun run. Other activities include food trucks, a silent auction/raffle, live music and police vehicles for display. The 5K will be a glow run. The Foundation’s mission is through education and implementation of safety measures, to prevent the loss of life or injury to the innocent victims of active shooter events and other critical incidents that occur in our schools, colleges, places of worship and nonprofit service organizations. The Foundation will fund classroom training on how to recognize the traits of an Active Shooter before an incident and then how to react if an actual incident occurs. The foundation will also fund installation of safety measures and equipment to organizations that lack sufficient funding for these needs. Primarily schools that are in desperate need of such training and safety measures but lack the funding to accomplish it. Recipients are selected based on a need for these services and their inability to fund such measures. Please help us in our mission to protect!
